Takayuki Akahodani is the Founder and CEO of HAKOVO, a supply chain business incorporated on 31 March 2016. Taka oversees the company’s corporate direction and strategy. He interacts with decision makers across the public and private sectors to introduce disruptive technology and digital practices to support the growing needs of the shipping and logistics industry.

Prior to HAKOVO, Taka spent 20 years at Deutsche Post DHL, the world’s largest logistics company, as Director of Business Consulting and Business Development. In a testament to his exceptional acumen in business development, innovation and global leadership, he is a four-time recipient of the company's Asia Pacific Regional Employee and Outstanding Sales Management of the Year awards.

Taka holds an Executive Master’s degree (Master of Science) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Cranfield University in the UK and a Bachelor of Business and Information Science from Koshien University in Japan.

Taka is Japanese and a medalled athlete. He continues to compete in the sprint and decathlon events of masters championships around the world as a member of the Japan Masters Athletics and the Singapore Masters Track & Field Association. He is also a windsurfing wave rider and a mogul skier.
