Singapore, 28th September 2023 – HAKOVO and TradeWaltz Inc signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a fully digitalized end-to-end trade platform based on sharing data.

The MOU was signed on 22 September 2023 by the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of HAKOVO, Mr. Takayuki Akahodani and Mr. Satoru Someya, Executive Officer, COO, CMO and Head of Global&Alliance Business Department of TradeWaltz Inc at a physical signing ceremony at HAKOVO office in Singapore.

TradeWaltz, operator of the trade-information collaboration platform led by blockchain Technology, and HAKOVO, a digitalized customs clearance platform that utilizes AI (Artificial Intelligence) Technology, jointly aim to fully digitize trade procedures, and improve operational efficiency.

The MoU coverage focuses on the fields of cross-border trade management in the framework of digital data sharing and information security, explore opportunities to collaborate on trade facilitation projects for countries where either party has already established presence.

Our combined technology values of blockchain and AI for this collaboration will further diversify business, create innovative value and synergies by digitizing a largely paper-based process, making the data shareable and trustworthy, and adding intelligence, authenticity, and automation to execute augmentation of transactions.

“We are pleased to have signed the MoU with HAKOVO. Within JETRO’s Supply Chain Diversification Project, which will start in November 2023, we hope to link two systems, TradeWaltz and HAKOVO, in order to support Japanese and Indonesian trade users. We would like to expand system linkage between TradeWaltz and Customs to other ASEAN countries. ”, said Mr. Satoru Someya, COO and CMO of TradeWaltz Inc.

HAKOVO Founder & CEO, Takayuki Akahodani, added “The strategic partnership with TradeWaltz will tremendously contribute to cross-border digitalization. This strategic framework completely aligns with the Government of Japan initiative “ASEAN-Japan Economic Co-Creation vision”, roadmap for digitizing trade procedures, as well as HAKOVO’s business strategy “ASEAN+3”. Leveraging the technologies from both companies, we hope to have a social and business impact to Japan and Indonesia, aiming to building an ecosystem for supply chain that accelerates economic growth.”
