IHI and HAKOVO Announce Collaboration to Accelerate Innovation in Cross-Border Supply Chain for METI’s Asia Digital Transformation Project

Singapore, 3rd August 2021 – Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) announces that JETRO awarded IHI Jet Service Co., Ltd (IJS), subsidiary of IHI CORPORATION [TSE7013] a leading global comprehensive heavy-industry manufacturer, and HAKOVO to Asia Digital Transformation (ADX) Promotion Project. They will work together to innovate and transform the future of digital cross-border supply chain, improving visibility and traceability for container market around the world.

IJS and HAKOVO are exploring the development of visibility and traceability solutions. HAKOVO intends to use IJS’s Satellite Data – “AIS LinerViewer” that integrates the schedule information and location information of containers shipped by IJS through API, providing real time container vessel location for better prediction.

Leveraging Satellite Data, HAKOVO can provide full visibility and traceability with more milestones of cross boarder supply chain, results in visualized care, including import customs clearance tracking event that is currently invisible up to a few weeks or even months in the industry. All import-related documents will be digitized using AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology to streamline customs clearance work, help accelerate the HAKOVO SMART CLEAR Solutions and expand deeper into digital world.

HAKOVO AI and ML (Machine Learning) technology capabilities, and new analytic algorithms further improve our industry leading efforts, and bring more insightful data to help our customer to achieve better import customs experience and positive outcomes.

IJS and HAKOVO are now collaborating to bring together the strengths of both companies to innovate and transform future supply chain. This collaboration provides an exciting a POC (Proof of Concept) opportunity to leverage IJS’s leading AIS data, and HAKOVO’s expertise of digital customs clearance product in customs platforms.

On October 2, 1978, our company was founded as a service company under the name of Ishikawajima Jet servicing Co., Ltd. to maintain gas turbine for power generation and gas turbine for marine vessels that have been diverted from airline jet engine.
